According to successful breeders, you have to combine the interesting in order to attain the exceptional. Contento's grandfather, Casall, a Caretino-Lavall stallion, was a member of the 2012 Swedish Olympic team in London. He finished in the top 25 at the European Championships in 2013 and at the World Equestrian Games in 2014, and has won numerous Longines GCT Grand Prix. With more than 40 sons licensed for breeding and at least 44 state premium daughters, Casall is unquestionably one of the top jumper producers in the world today. His son, Connor – Contento's sire — is a big-framed stallion with a particularly powerful back, long legs and correct feet. Known for his scopey, careful jump, Connor chalked up numerous wins in young jumper classes and won the first ever 7-year-old jumper Championship at Elmshorn in 2013. Connor's early crops have already yielded several state premium mares and four licensed Holsteiner sons.
Contento's dam, Ocora, contributes the Cor de la Bryere and Capitol lines through her sire, Corrado I. At 30 years old, Corrado is the oldest active Holsteiner Verband stallion and already is considered the founder of a Holsteiner sire line of his own. He is favored for passing on his tremendous jumping ability and great sport mentality to his offspring.
Contento will be presented for approval in 2016.
