Leoncito (The Little Lion) is a Holsteiner/Thoroughbred cross, foaled in 2001. Sired by the German import, Ladamo and out of the TB mare, Nags-to-Riches, by Two-a-day, by Bold Bidder.

He was bred by Betty McElvain at Rancho La Querencia. Toby has successfully shown in Hunter divisions from Pre-Green to the 3’6″ Performance Hunters throughout the years, obtaining many horse-show and State Championships. He has also received National awards/recognition for being in the Top-Five over the years for USEF/USHJA Zone 8 and ‘National Champion’ 1st Year Green Working Hunter for the American Holsteiner Horse Association, Inc. His $10,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby WIN at one of the ‘Summer in the Rockies’ horse shows in Parker, Colorado will always be treasured and held with the highest appreciation and enjoyment by his owner, Lucy Hunsaker.

Toby is trained and ridden by Madelaine Martinez, Manager/Trainer of Amistad Equestrian in Corrales, NM.
